I could bring as few as one robot to my full AWS team as planned (as long as this is OK). How many are we allowed to bring because I should not have a shortage of robots by then!
Thanks!

Re: Controversial Completion of a Cluster
Thanks very muh for the info!
Yes, I will investigate lipo packs if I cannot get in weight with the NiMH pack - thanks!
(Hope your robot was OK!)

Re: Controversial Completion of a Cluster
Perfect! Thanks so much for the link to the Hobbyking servos! Just checking, they are a standard JR plug aren't they? As for the single cell lipo, I'm not allowed to use lipo batteries as they can be very dangerous and have settled on 15g 4 cell NiMH batteries which have proven to be light enough. I...

Re: Controversial Completion of a Cluster
Thanks for your advice Rhys but unfortunately, while you are spot on about SG90s being great drive servos (use them in almost every robot and their strange cousin, the SG92R which is actually quite good), I cannot fit two into the weight allowance available. Does anybody know if the gear arrangement...

Re: Controversial Completion of a Cluster
Hi all, I was wondering if the Turnigy 1440A 4.4g servo was any good for a 360 mod. The link is here: http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__28410__Turnigy_1440A_Servo_4_4g_0_8kg_10sec_V2_UK_Warehouse_.html Also, same question with the Turnigy TS531A 3.7g servo and the TS541A (do they have a s...

Re: antweight open 2. 22nd november 2014
Hi all,
I am hoping to come to this event. However, I am unsure which building is the hall.
When I look on Google Streetview, I see what I believe is a residential area and I cannot see a hall of any sort anywhere near.
Could somebody help me please?
Thanks!

Re: Controversial Completion of a Cluster
Thanks very much. The completion of the cluster is looking possible now. I have used a honeycomb-like structure in cardboard to half the weight of the armor while still making it surprisingly strong. Dave - Thanks for the info on frequency clashing. I had forgotten about that with all this 2.4ghz ge...

Re: Controversial Completion of a Cluster
I thought around 15g was quite light for a receiver switch. The one in AntWithTopHat is 23g so I really do wonder what I was thinking with that one! Do you (or does anybody else) know of any decent, light switches that suit Futaba plug batteries that are also rather inexpensive? I may use HXT500s bu...

Controversial Completion of a Cluster
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone would mind if I used the base of a small rc car (heavily modified and barely recognisable) to complete my cluster which has become a bit too heavy on one side! The idea is to be able to enter that robot in my full team of 3 antweights by entering it as a cluster but...
