Re: AWS 59 -21st September 2019

Sounds great. I'll definitely be there attempting to defend the title.

Any news on whether it will be 3 or 4 entries per team? Or will it depend on numbers?

Or is it a super trade secret?
It's a 4 way cam system, there's a pic at the bottom of page 3 of this thread. Amazing how quick it is really.

Re: GeorgeR's robots

That is a brilliant robot and probably the most original but not quite the first walker to win an AWS. Mutant won in 2004 at AWS15 but there were far less robots to beat back then http://www.antweight.co.uk/results/ws15/ws15.htm I stand corrected, someone told me it was the first, but I guess they ...

Re: GeorgeR's robots

AWS 58 Well, AWS 58 proved very successful for Team Zero, and much to my surprise I’m now an AWS winner! Six months ago RBMK was no more than a mad idea in my head that I was less than 50% sure would even work at all, and now it’s the champion of an event that is normally dominated by wedges, flipp...

Re: ESCs and channel mixing

Yep, there's no mixing on a FT tinyesc, it's a single channel esc so there isn't anything to mix. Some dual esc's come with mixing, some don't, and some can be switched between mixing and not mixing. As the others have said the best option would be to get a transmitter that supports mixing, like Lim...

Re: Antweight World Series 58 - 29th June 2019

I might have missed something but... I'm seeing various mentions of 'Sheffield' and 'September' in relation to AWS 59 but can't find any details (and nothing on Antlog). If this is 'a thing' then it would help if someone could start a thread with whatever details are known at this stage. They said ...

Re: Coping with the demand (An EO's perspective)

While I've not been an EO, I certainly agree with the issues you've raised regarding long term sustainability. Regarding numbers of bots and time restraints; I think that 128 entries should remain a hard limit (and this could even be reduced), Chris, I know you've talked about developing antlog to c...

Re: Antweight World Series 58 - 29th June 2019

Many thanks to Chris and all the other helpers for yet another fantastic event. Completing a double elimination event with 123 robots in one day is no mean feat.

For those that don't want to know the results look away now.....

1st - RBMK
2nd - Trigger
3rd - Valkyrie
4th - Bzroink
