Re: First time building diary: Third Law
Small update. Had a little time to kill so I swiss cheesed the lid in anticipation of being very damn close to the weight limit. I could do a ton of holes in the base of the chassis if more is necessary. It probably will be. And yay, motors! They are cute little things, huh? Tiny gears. I got the es...

Re: First time building diary: Third Law
I used a cheap dremel style grinder/drill tool that I got from amazon for a tenner. It's probably a get-what-you-pay-for level of quality really but it drills Polycarbonate okay So, nothing new to show pictures of but...... Tonight I ordered a nanotwo ESC and 4 of the tough hub wheels from the nuts ...

Re: First time building diary: Third Law
Haha yeah I was just being a bit daft in that bit about cutting and folding the stuff. It was more difficult than I expected but really half of the problem was me using scissors that weren't quite up to it. Hopefully I've cut all the poly i need for this project now, but next time I would definitely...

Team Dudge build diaries.
Hi again folks :D So since I last posted I have been busy doing what parts I can of Robot build number 1. I'm still waiting to hear about the nano kit, and have begun thinking about alternatives just in case, but in the meantime I got to work on the bits I could, namely the polycarbonate bits. I now...

Re: Is this stuff any good?
Yeah, fair enough, figured there was probably a reason I'd not seen any pictures that looked to use it.

Re: How do, folks.
Got the plastic delivered. Cut a small piece from one sheet just to see how it cuts and bends, yeah it's cool stuff huh? I also spoke to Rory, hopefully in a few weeks/after the holidays period he'll have the parts to do me a 4wd nanotwo. I'll wait to see if that pans out before i look at alternativ...

Re: How do, folks.
Oki dokie - update to plan Having spent a little while longer fiddling with cardboard chassis ideas and growing suspicious that a heavier servo and 4wd might leave me unable to armour it as much as I'd like to, I have a revised plan. Ha, so while I would love to say it was a flash of my own inspirat...
