Re: Antweight World Series 54 - Bath City FC

Sadly can't make this, would be a hotel job and it's my bro's birthday the week before and we're away for a bit to old Amsterdam. Sucks because Ant freeze was loads of fun, but I'll keep an eye out for the next. Should hopefully have another build project done by whenever that is too. I'll look forw...

Re: The next episode of probably a dumb question, but..

Wow, cheers guys, that's tons of info. So linking via gears to combo servos like Alex described sounds crazy interesting, but also slightly ahead of where I see myself at for the next project. Actually my asking about linking the servos was more me picturing the front of something like King Buxton r...

Re: The next episode of probably a dumb question, but..

Yeah I think I was not quite visualising it right. Would be easier if i had a couple servos to hand to fiddle with. Good to know anyway that getting parallel ones to sync is difficult. Probably help me shoot a dumb idea down early. It sounds like I'd be better off planning around a single servo if I...

The next episode of probably a dumb question, but..

Hey again folks. So my pondering about what bot to make next has me stuck on a couple questions that probably you guys can answer easy peasy. When the next project is decided, I want to use some different parts to my first push bot project. So I must think servo. Can I connect 2 servos in parallel t...

Re: First time building diary: Third Law

Hey Jeff. Cheers for posting that. I actually managed to pit a bot in that clip haha. Had a few ideas for the next project but not committing to any of them yet. I will do some scribbling in the meantime and think about it while waiting for things like the new nano controllers. I'm on holiday in mar...

Re: First time building diary: Third Law

As promised, final update for this first project. Third Law made it to Ant freeze 5. I owe the guys from teams Nuts and Shakey a beer one day for helping out by fixing my ESC, without those guys I wouldn't have been able to enter my bot. Got the deluxe pits treatments for an Antweight right there. H...

Re: Ant Freeze 5 - 3rd Feb 2018 NEW DATE

Cheers to all for the welcome, special cheers to Rory and Alex for helping out with my damaged nanotwo. Enjoyed that. It was great to see all your robots in action, and to try out a few scraps. Next time I probably should get ready in time to practice driving a bit. Still a load of fun though and I ...

Re: Noob bot: Unmitigated Disaster

Main problem I can see would be if you're wheeling then everything will easily get underneath the front end to push/flip you. With the wedge shaped you want the front end hugging the ground.
