Adam have you designed your own controllers or are you useing the chassis to replace the interconnecting wires between existing boards.
I might be trying to sell the controller boards next year when I am retired to help susidise my pension.

Definitly no sand that would eliminate over 50% of the ants because of there low fronts plus it would stop any vacuum robot.

Not really a new concept for an ant but for the construction method. I am looking at using a PCB as the main chassis. I have deisgned a new drive speed controller two of which will be built directly on the chassis. The receiver will hopefully solder directly on to the board and the drive motors will...

One thing we may need to look into is how we distinguish between our reflected signals from the barriers and the other robot. A sumo arena could have no sides but if we go for full combat we might need transparent or slopeing walls. Also we may well be detecting the signals from the other robot so t...

I am hopeing to restart my autonomous robot again in the new year. So far I have just been plying with an optical sensing system trying to make them more directional and increase the range. I had just got to the stage where I needed to add some modulation so I think I will invest in that Sharp chip ...

The problem is that the servo system is set up for the speed of the motor running at 6 volts. At 12 volts you are probably doubling the speed and therefore the system overshoots. It may be possible to alter the damping by changing a resistor value but you would need to get the data sheet for the ser...

Loss of signal is not usually a problem most receivers fail safe with no signal the problem is adjacent frequencies. All receivers have AGC (automatic gain control) and this circuit is there to try and maintain the signel level. If your transmitter signel fails the AGC increases the gain until the n...

Great event Craig and a well deserved and overdue win for Tim and DBA. I liked the addition of the flea's and supers and hope this is now a perminant feature for all world series events.
