Hey Will, looking great!
Just out of interest, what motors are you using? I have a design in mind but as I've never attempted a beetleweight I'm slightly hesitant to invest in something that's not up to the job

Re: Jack's Projects
Since I'm parting ways with a few of my bigger robots I now have more time and resources to focus on ants, which is really where the heart lies. Bit of a team update. My mate from college Joseph Montagu is now a part of the team, replaceing my poor family who I'm sure are rather weathbeaten after be...

Looks great mate, but if that's in weight I'll eat my cat

Re: Jack's Projects
Dave: I completely forgot that was a thing. Cheers! Found Valiant after a lot of lifting. It has some damage that I vaguely remember came courtesy of Mr Waller but nothing I can't handle. Just need to find a few more of those tiny RX battery packs as they got lightly mauled at the last RFRC. I also ...

Jack's Projects
*cue 2001 space odyssey instrumental* Salutations chums. I'm pleased to report that, for now, my exams are over. With some time on my hands I've decided to get back into the swing of things and get my robot bits sorted out. I carried out a damage report of sorts earlier today. I'm afraid the outlook...

Re: Help for a big event
True, there are some issues. the armour may need a reprint along the line to make it thicker etc. There was no way that servo was sitting in the robot with the design we have, its a trend i've seen quite a bit recently. Josh did a cracking job, when you see them up close at some point you should be ...

Re: Help for a big event
Hey guys, Thanks for the feedback. @Gary: That looks really cool! The show has changed somewhat - the idea originally was for me to build a robot on stage however it soon became apparent that due to time constraints i would be building a robot backstage and then reviling it onstage later in the show...

Re: Antweight bits for beginners
1: Very possible. There are kits available here for £100 or so which make for a decent starting point OR you could buy bits individually yourself for about the same price. TBH battles are so fast pretty much anything can be somewhat competitive. I came second in my first event with a robot that was,...
