Re: "Flip-it” new build/project
Thought I’d revisit one of my bots. To improve its flipper. https://preview.ibb.co/cxZJ1J/088_E6_BD9_2724_4_C68_AE25_D35895075_ABC.jpg I am onto my third iteration of the weapon. Originally I used a fork like flipper. Which was was an awful idea in hindsight, I did it to try and save weight. If it t...

Re: T_Y's Build Log
Also, I believe those ESCs are single direction only, hence the cheap price. They are designed to power a boat prop or car wheel in one direction whilst a servo rudder/rack does the steering. There are bi directional versions now. That include a switch for brake on /off. Less then £5 each as well. ...

Re: 3D printer supplies
Hello, Inspired by your awesome builds I finally gave up and bought a 3D printer 😵. Antweight building seems to step up another level with 3D printing. It’s not arming untill June. However it comes with no filiment except a small sample. On the website a spool is £21 for 1KG!!! Then on eBay it’s £10...

Re: Rule Debates
Fair points. I put the fact I haven't competed in there just clarify my lack of knowledge. I can see now why these rules are in place. I just wanted to see why these rules are in place. The more popular these events get maybe the need to have a second arena to speed up the event thus allowing more t...

Re: Mark's Antweight build
Nice idea, I'll have to do some research into esp32. Will it work as a TX and RX as well?
It seems making your own ESC is not as difficult as it looks. Just a lot of time!

Re: Rule Debates
Arena rules. 3c) At least half of the edge of the arena must be unwalled, to allow robots to drop directly into the ditch that surrounds the arena. 50mm is the recommended height for arena walls. I have never been to an AWS, however I feel this rule takes away some of the fun of battling. After watc...

Re: Mark's Antweight build
Sorry to bounce your build diary all over the place. I found this chip last night that I thought people might find useful. It's a micro controller the size of a 5p piece. With 9PWM outputs. I've ordered one and will post in my build about it. It's also a British product!!! Hook this up with a h-brid...
