Re: What is a team?
That was on the battlebots subreddit, there's not a lot of antweight stuff on there, but I was showing off RBMK after winning AWS58.

Re: What is a team?
Thank you! That's really clear now. Your bots are really awesome. The one with the two spinners looks like a Vertabird from Fallout 1 or Fallout 2! I love it! Does it move based on the vibration of the motors spinning if you throttle one up more than the other? I saw a 3lb bot here in the states wh...

Re: What is a team?
So if I'm reading this right, for example whoever owns wedge wedge wedge must own all the cluster bots and all the transmitters for them, correct? Those are all considered "team" property, so you can't just make one 75g and a friend have a 75g bot and call that a cluster bot on tournament...

Afraid you're not quite right there Eddie, PWM (not PPM) is the one you want.
PPM is similar to sbus in that it is a single wire for the signals.
PWM is the one that you're thinking of where each channel has its own signal wire.
As for titanium, I've always had good luck with ebay.

Re: AWS'60 Results Analysis
I'm not sure stats are ever going to answer your question, there are simply too many other variables. In particular, how well the robot is designed and built, and how well driven it is, are both much more important than the type of machine. That said, I do think some designs are more competitive tha...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal
I don't like the idea of someone having a fully working robot as a spare either, it just feels wrong. But the only way to outlaw it is to either limit the type of spares people can bring, which I think would be crazy given the nature of combat robotics and the difficulty of deciding what is and isn'...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal
Regarding bot modularity and when is it a different bot - what about spare chassis (EG. Like Cosmic had)? I don't see an issue with any level of spare parts, including a new chassis. (I certainly wouldn't call Cosmic a different robot with the new chassis). In fact, many robots don't even have a si...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal
That sounds like a very sensible plan Shakey. In which case I would absolutely support the current wording. It certainly appears to cover all the relevant points. I know I said before, but did anyone else have a view on heat based weapons? (obviously it can wait 'til a later date if it's controversi...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal
With regards to clusters, I don't see a problem with only running one part of a cluster if the other part has been destroyed, but only if the cluster would still be legal if all parts were running. (so no adding extra armour with the weight that would be part of the unused robot) I don't think modul...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal
Just seen the updated wording for 4k, looks good.
