Re: Ellis's (Team BANANAPHONE/A12) build log!

I have had problems with the small orange receivers loosing the bind with DSM2 transmitters and in some cases refusing to bind at all. I have found that they do still work with DSMX transmitters so I have bought a secondhand DSMX DX6i to operate them. When linked to DSMX the light is not quite conti...

Re: AWS 60 - Headington, Oxford - 30th Nov 2019

Yes I thought it should have been a reset. The problem was they decided that because part of Bergavan was still in the arena it was not in the pit but the rules clearly say a robot is in the pit as soon as any part of it touches the pit floor so with half of the robot in the pit and in contact with ...

Re: AWS 60 - Headington, Oxford - 30th Nov 2019

Thanks to Dave and Sarah and all who helped to make the event run so smoothly it was a great celebration of 20 years of Antweights. As others have said one of the best venues we have been able to use and also the nearest to my home for many years.

Re: Good speed for antweights?

One thing you need to watch out for is the voltage that the speed is quoted at.
300 at 6V is a little on the slow side but if they are 300 at 12V that is only 150 at 6V and very slow.

I do all mine in Sketchup it does get difficult trying to modify curved surfaces but otherwise seems more than adequate.

Re: Battery Sourcing

They are more like 22 x 18 x 16 but the wires come out on the top so they have probably allowed for that in the 25 although as you can see in the picture if you remove the heatshrink you can get it down. They are thicker than normal which does make them look bigger. They are the same width and thick...
