Re: Antweight Arena?
I'd say an arena floor of 48"x48" is a bit on the big side. You run the risk of robots just chasing each other for 3 minutes without making contact! The AWS rules (currently) only specify a minimum of 30" square but this is generally reckoned to be a bit small these days. Peter Waller...

AWS results are all up on AntLog. It all looks OK so it seems the fixes for the problems from last time have worked

Well done Alex for (yet another!) win
I have the results from Chris but they won't be on AntLog until later in the week. I'm away from home currently and uploading results is not something I want to do on my phone and dodgy WiFi

Re: Accucell 6 charger
Ummm, that looks like a mains cord given that the wires are brown and blue. If so, you need a 3-pin 13A plug. It would be very useful if you posted a picture of the whole thing so we could figure out which end of the charger you were talking about. A power supply needs 2 plugs - mains power in and D...

Re: Ant Attempt 2 - 'Tough Justice'
It looks like you have all the bits in the right places and yes, you do only need to connect the white (signal) wire on one of the servo leads. Make sure you plug the servo leads into the receiver the right way round. Usually the black (0V) wires go towards the edge of the board and the white (signa...

Re: Robot Name Clearing House
If a robot hasn't already competed in an event (in AntLog) then you can just change its name. You don't have to create a new robot. Robots that have already competed can't have their names changed as doing so would change all the previous results. Robots can, however, be "retired" if they ...

Re: Yet another new guy!
my servo moves twice; once on powering up, to a random anticlockwise position, then again when the tx is turned on, to a set position. it's always the same position, which matches the tx settings. Always power the transmitter on first! If you don't the receiver only receives noise and any random si...

Re: Football / Hockey - rules?
Hello and welcome Ian! I'm not sure there have ever been any "official" rules for antweight football. :) It's usually a case of pick some teams (2 or more a side), chuck the ball in and stand well back! I think we've played for 3-5 minutes before. Depending on the battery capacity/technolo...
