Would this be a good antweight?

I have decided to go for an easier design for haywire than the flywheel as I was having weight issues and also thought it would be better to have something for the non destructive (so just flippers and pushers) stuff and for practice. It will have: 4 motors (I will try to link them sometime)- 2 per ...

It looks like I will be able to attend with haywire in a very basic flipper form for the non spinner competition as it is a short drive form my nans. Hopefully it won't be long before it has a flywheel to take to the arena.

Sounds pretty good, it makes a decent push bot and I could stick on a servo with a flipper temporarily.

What sort of dimentions are you looking for, thickness / overall diameter etc? There are also a few people on the FRA forum who are able to machine parts, if you put something on the wanted tab. This is a video of a robot in progress with a 6" hardox blade made by Kenny who is on the FRA forum...

I'm looking into coming along to watch. I might bring haywire but it is nowhere near combat ready and won't be for some time so even if it came it wouldn't be properly battling.

Where to get a flywheel machined?

I need some help in where I could get a part for my robot made. It is the 'flywheel' type weapon but it isn't quite normal more like a bar but I lack the facilities in order to create one. This (rather bad) picture should show the type of shape I am looking for if it helps. http://i685.photobucket.c...
