Re: AWS 52 - Greenwich University - Sign up + details
I'm coming. Generally there's a big surge in sign ups towards the end. I think most people are either trying to finish bots before they enter them. Don't worry, yes, the Grantham event is on at the same time, but I reckon you've just got to be patient. This event looks to be a lot of fun. It is bett...

Re: 40Mhz Transmitters
There shouldn't really be a problem. I used 25mhz first time round. Some have used infrared too! The only issue would be too many bots on the one frequency, but since 99% are 2.4G, it should be fine!

Re: UserFriendly Build Diary
Looking forward to coming on the 1st July!
I've been working on this. A lot!
I still need to wire it up and test the weapon. Might be good to have some armour , but I need to lose 9g from somewhere!

Would it not be better to do the sign up direct on AntLog?

Re: Team Shakey Robotics - Ant parts for sale!
...Rapidrory hasn't got back to my email I sent a few days ago, must of gone straight to junk mail or he's busy, which is fine. I'm just super keen to get started! This forum may be a little bit quiet atm, because they've just been filming the latest series of Robot Wars in Glasgow! I'm sure you'll...

Re: Antweight crusher need help!
I really like your crusher design. Personally I would stick with the motor rather than the servo and include a current limiter to prevent stalling the motor. If you are really keen on using a servo to check out hobby king : https://hobbyking.com/en_us/servos/all.html?___store=en_us A lot of them spe...

Re: My first ant was not a success: Onto the second!
Ideally, your servo arm goes parallel with your flipper. From the video, yours is the opposite, if you see what I mean.
You will get more movement from the flipper if it attaches nearer the flipper hinge.

This sounds great, should be a really good time. There are lots of resourceful people here to make it work well!
