Re: Modifying Cheap Transmitters For Mixing
This is a nice bit of lateral thinking. For beginners I find mixing makes a big difference to the use ability of the control. You can, of course, buy a mixer for £2.50 though....

Matthew, I think you've got one of my kits (ie from this site) I which case the servos are mg90s and not really great for speed hacking. The gear motor version of the kit I sell these days use 30:1 motors (440rpm) which are pretty fast with the 4.8v battery I supply but really to get speed you need ...

Pete you realise you are edging ever closer to being in that group of model enthusiasts that even scratch make their own screws, don't you?! Very impressive grip though - combined with a spinner it could be nasty.

I got this last night, would you believe: We have discovered your robots at he Brighton Maker Faire and we'd like to invite you to an event we're organising mid-December. We are running a show with 25 Makers displaying 3D Scanning/Printing/Craft/Electronics, which would be one area as part of the Mo...

Folks,
Less than a month to go on this and only Craig and one person signed up. To be fair to Craig and others making travel plans, can we get a bit more definitive yea or neigh on who is likely to go. If you really aren't likely to make it, don't be overly optimistic.
Cheers,
PeteC

Re: Robot Combat league
Actually, I stuck with it through the series and did get drawn in. Yes, the presentation is terrible - like worst American reality but without the tonge-in-cheek humour of Battlebots. But the machine are oddly compelling. I quite like the idea of deliberately building weaknesses into them, especiall...

BTW the GWS HPFX Park flyer servo is no longer being produced so if you've got the, take care of them. Where did you hear this? They're out of stock on Hobby King at the moment, but they say they;ll be back in stock in 30-45 days. I couldn't find them in stock anywhere so enquired with a couple of ...

Yes, I can post overseas. I may have to add a bit for shipping to the US or Canada, depending on the item.
I have considered making more merchandise but as nonprofit making, I need to have a market to invest in. Have thought about posters and tee shirts before. Caps and mugs also.

BTW the GWS HPFX Park flyer servo is no longer being produced so if you've got the, take care of them. I haven't been able to source anything to the same spec as yet. The 82MG is bullet proof. I ran one 81mg I Pants for it's entire life. I now have an 82mg in Skidmark and it's just as good. They can...
