Re: AWS44 - Brize Norton, Oxfordshire

A fantastic day, and finally a proper beetle competition! Massive thanks to David and Haz for making it happen despite complications, and well done to Alex & Anvil for the win, it was well deserved and I'll have to come up with something to do with my spare 100g to have you next time ;). And I t...

Re: AWS44 - Brize Norton, Oxfordshire

I'm unfortunately going to have to withdraw Anti-Gravity, it's in the most horrible state I've ever seen a robot and needs every single component replaced (not an exaggeration), something that just cannot be done in time. I'll still be there with RPM, but no ant :( . I have a crazy 6 motor 6WD ant d...

Re: AWS44 - Brize Norton, Oxfordshire

16? Wow I was unaware of how many there are... still, the class is never going to take of in a big way unless a comp is held. And you needn't cut the side competitions, just run the AWS and other stuff as normal and splice the beetles in while we're waiting between rounds. 16 robots in a knockout ma...

Re: AWS44 - Brize Norton, Oxfordshire

Found Anti Gravity 3 in a cupboard this morning and signed her up. Got RPM the beetle coming too. Making this AWS my (not so) valiant return to antweights :D As for running a beetle competition (BWS?) I'm all for it, even if time is tight, as there are, to my knowledge, very few active beetles in th...

Re: Maybe...

Thanks Sam and Haz! Dave, I am coming to Deeside, I'll talk to you there. For some reason I had it in my head that Baby Hell used a 100:1 on the axe :-? . A 50:1 motor would be more convenient for delivery too, as BotBitz don't sell a 100:1 option! The whole thing has been created to size with a Sab...

Maybe...

...I'll build this for the next AWS. Or the one after that. I dunno. Ants are too fiddly for me and my lack of hand-eye coordination  http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff415/MicroGravity100/TinyTitan_zps03b958ab.png I'm looking to get it 3D printed, as parts obviously, then have four 50:1 mo...

Re: AWS 39 - Coventry - November 3rd, 2012

Hi, my sat nav has gone crazy and taken us in the wrong direction, if anyone can reserve us two places in the AWS it would be much obliged as I doubt we will arrive in time to sign up. Thanks!

Re: Evening Event in London - any volunteers?

I can make this, it's literally around the corner from where I live. Will bring AG3, maybe the new one too.
See you there!
EDIT - Can I bring Skyfall just for display?
