Re: Ant Freeze 3 & Signups - Nuneaton, 23rd Jan 2016

Thanks to everyone for a great event. I've finally got round to uploading a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMtOPlDn3Pw (Sorry about my terrible filming!)

Re: AWS 40

I have to agree with everything that Joey has said. It took me a while to get the stream working (due to problems at my end), but I'm really glad that I did because it was a brilliant event. Congratulations to Andy and Rhys for their wins, and well done to everyone involved with hosting and producin...

Re: Snibston 27th December 2011

Thanks to Dave, the Robots Live guys and everyone else that helped out with this event, I really enjoyed it. Also well done to Joey, Alasdair and Andre for getting us to second place, and congratulations to The Green Giants and Anto for their respective wins. :) I've uploaded three videos of the eve...

Re: Snibston 27th December 2011

Yep, Dave is going to sort us into teams, and the challenge will be to build a boat between us. There's a debate as to whether 50% or 100% of the team have to sink before you're eliminated.

Hopefully I'll be able to make this one. I'll bring my armbands just in case...

Re: AWS 35 - Pontefract - 17th July 2011

Thanks to Joey for hosting and everyone else who helped to run the event. Pontefract seemed to be a good location for everyone (it's certainly about as local as it gets for me :P), and the turnout was great. Congratulations to all the winners and the Hall of Fame inductees too. I probably could and ...

Both Strafen and Saint Jimmy look fantastic! I was considering doing an antweight version of The Saint myself, so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. Are you thinking of doing interchangeable hammers, Dave? I was also considering making TransparANT III in the same style as Bulletproof/...

Welcome aboard, Paul. Something tells me you and Joey are going to get on quite well. I also live quite far away from the usual events, but I made the effort to get to two this year and really enjoyed it. So hopefully something will pop up for you eventually. :) Good luck with the build and le...

I love the current version of Spark, I think it is a great antweight. :) It has inspired me to build a wedge shaped flipper myself at some point.

I also use the Hyperion 120mAh 7.4v batteries from Micron and the 50:1 High Power gearmotors from Robot Bits, they are very good.
