Re: Harpoon as weapon?
Hi there, welcome to the forum. To my knowledge, there has never been an effective antweight with a tethered projectile weapon. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try if you feel inclined but it definitely wouldn't be the easiest weapon to make effective. You might have more luck with that concept in a...

Re: New Scientist Live 2018 London
It's a fair way off but if the dates work out then I'd happily volunteer, it sounds like a good venture. Were you looking for resources as well (arena, demo bots etc.) or just the man hours?

Re: Team Shakey Build Diary
I notice a bunch of the vertical spinners you've done have extra long motor shafts which you use for support. Can't work out where you would have got them from save machining them yourself. Care to spill the beans?

Re: A question about the sabertooth esc
Great, thanks for your help, I am a bit cautious as I already fried my orange RX reciever by not plugging the cables in correctly ( it wasn't labelled  ) Good strategy for avoiding that is to keep note of which pins are connected together on the PCB. The pins for the red and black wires for p...

Re: Robot Wars TV Series 2016 BBC 2

Re: Jon's Cheerful Robots
If you get a bunch of enthusiastic people together they might give you a budget to start a team :) Formula Student at Sheffield goes back quite a few years before I joined so I'm not sure how it all started. The whole endeavor is IMechE run though and Reading is more famous for it's electronic engin...
