Re: AWS 57 (February 2019)

The results have been uploaded to Antlog, and this time it all went without a hitch :)

Re: Antlog issue

Ummmm I didn't think that was possible!

I'll look into it...

It can easily be fixed, but I'm intrigued as to how it even happened...

Re: AWS56 - 13th October, Bristol

All the results are now available on AntLog. The main problem with shuffling robots between groups is that you increase the chance of a team being drawn against itself in the early rounds. It's not technically difficult to shuffle the losers, but it's debateable whether it's better to prevent teams ...

Re: Antlog issue

My guess is that you downloaded the database after you created the event. The intent is that it only locks if you are the owner of an imminent event (i.e. one where the online registration is closed, but there may be a slight flaw in the logic. That or someone else managed to lock it. I'll take a lo...

Re: AWS56 - 13th October, Bristol

Was AntLog used at this event? Someone downloaded the event data and locked the database, but no-one has sent me any results. Now I can unlock the database manually, but if the results exist I'd rather add them (which also unlocks the database in a more controlled manner). EDIT: Razerdave, I know it...

Re: Antweight Arena?

I'd say an arena floor of 48"x48" is a bit on the big side. You run the risk of robots just chasing each other for 3 minutes without making contact! The AWS rules (currently) only specify a minimum of 30" square but this is generally reckoned to be a bit small these days. Peter Waller's arena is gen...

AWS results are all up on AntLog. It all looks OK so it seems the fixes for the problems from last time have worked :)

Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall

Well done Alex for (yet another!) win :)
I have the results from Chris but they won't be on AntLog until later in the week. I'm away from home currently and uploading results is not something I want to do on my phone and dodgy WiFi :D

Re: Accucell 6 charger

Ummm, that looks like a mains cord given that the wires are brown and blue. If so, you need a 3-pin 13A plug. It would be very useful if you posted a picture of the whole thing so we could figure out which end of the charger you were talking about. A power supply needs 2 plugs - mains power in and D...

Re: Ant Attempt 2 - 'Tough Justice'

It looks like you have all the bits in the right places and yes, you do only need to connect the white (signal) wire on one of the servo leads. Make sure you plug the servo leads into the receiver the right way round. Usually the black (0V) wires go towards the edge of the board and the white (signa...

Re: Robot Name Clearing House

If a robot hasn't already competed in an event (in AntLog) then you can just change its name. You don't have to create a new robot. Robots that have already competed can't have their names changed as doing so would change all the previous results. Robots can, however, be "retired" if they are no lon...
