Hybrid Event: Live music & antweights, London 13/10/2022

Hi all, I'm looking for 3 roboteers to join me for a sportsman antweight event in Stoke Newington (NE London) on the evening of Thursday 13 October. Approximate fighting times will be 20:00-20:40, but if earlier is more convenient for the roboteers, it can run 19:00-19:40. I'm hosting a trial of a n...

Re: Antweight World Series 62 - Midsomer Norton - November 20th 2021

Thanks to everyone who made this event happen! I had a great time, went on a deep run with a robot which wouldn't drive straight and won a 3rd place fleaweight trophy to go with my 2nd place from AWS61 - next time I'll try to complete the set. My only feedback would be around the bracket and the ini...

We run them at MKBFC events as a set of qualifying rumbles which each have their top 2 robots go into one final rumble for the spoon, so 4 or 5 fights in total. As long as you have a way of keeping track of who exits the tournament with 0 wi...

Re: AWS 62 - Summer/Autumn 2021

I'm all for streamlining the tournament - group battles in round 1 alone removes up to 32 fights or about an hour from the schedule - but my concern with 4-way group battles is the potential for hanging back to be a tactic used to win. I've seen it happen in some big battles and I won't name any nam...

Certificates guy from the organising team here! We were very impressed with Recycler's big hits and you just edged this award over Wu Ben because you had more fights (plus Wu Ben got the Best Hit award). Recycler was also being considered for Best Engineered. I will bring the physical certificate wi...
