Re: My 1st Build & More questions than answers.
Hi there, Welcome! Looks like your on the right track with the things you've got. You'll want some wheels and of course something to build the chassis out of. You can buy wheels that fit the D shaft. Something like this is specially made to fit the shaft: https://www.pololu.com/search?query=wheels&a...

Re: A Bunch of new Guys & Girls
I've not fought with any of my ants in a competitions yet so can't comment on that but they seem to work just fine. I've got a 4 wheeled pusher with two on each ESC and that run happily for about 45 solid when practicing with my friend. I had a Dasmicro blow up on me so these cheap ones are attracti...

Re: A Bunch of new Guys & Girls
His there. Sounds like a great opportunity for some fun. There is a learning curve but it isn't huge if you can take the time to learn. I'd suggest finding the antweight group on Facebook and just seeing what people post and learning from that as you'll pick up stuff bit by bit. Also this vid: https...

Re: 3d printing for ant weights
Thanks for your replies. I've decided to go with the Ender 2 as it seems the better option in my budget and can apparently with some tinkering print ABS (we shall see). I've found out about these melt in threaded inserts to take bolts which I might use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nU06915NJ30 I'...

Re: Hello, My robots.
Hi Derek, You're right about the batteries. I went a bit bigger because I want more 'play' time with them between recharges. The weight hasn't been an issue so far but I'll get some 180mah when I pick up more parts for my next robots. The ESCs are these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10A-Bustophedon-ES...

3d printing for ant weights
Hello there, I'm thinking about kicking into the next gear with robot chassis production by investing in a cheap 3d printer. My aim is to create quite a few robots so I can have big rumbles with my friends rather than necessarily to produce competition winning robots. I have a couple of questions if...

Hello, My robots.
Hello there, I've been into Robot wars since the beginning (sad to hear BBC have canned the rebooted series for the time being) but am now big enough and ugly enough to make my own robots or at least ant weights. Thanks to those who have unknowingly helped me as I've gained knowledge by lurking here...
