Re: Ant Freeze 8
Is this format still going ahead? I get what you are trying to do to encourage more weapon diversity and to allow the event to run smoothly but I feel that each category is going to cause some problems in terms of competing and spectating. Flippers - The problem for me with this is that flipper v fl...

With the first Antweight World Series since March 2020 due to take place this Saturday, I just want to recap on the COVID safety measures in place at this event. Obviously this is shaping up to be quite a big event and we are expecting a relatively big turnout of people so I will have precautions fo...

Re: Antweight World Series 62 - Midsomer Norton - November 20th 2021
That is something that needs to be looked into. I should have an answer within the next couple of weeks.MySolderIsOlder wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 8:16 am Midsomer [Ant] Murders!
Covid plans sound eminently sensible. Just to clarify, does the -ve test requirement include young children as well?

Yes, the size & weight rules will apply to off the shelf builds.peterwaller wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 5:40 pm On the subject of allowing modified toys etc I assume they still have to fit the cube as well as meet the weight limit.

Re: Antweight World Series 62 - Midsomer Norton - November 20th 2021
Hi, good news! 1. What is the maximum number of robots per team? I think we can expect this event to be "fully stacked". 2. Is there a maximum number of teams (pit space, time, etc?) 3. What is the sign up process / system? I suggest that maybe keep some slots open for newcomers (What is ...

Re: AWS 62 - Summer/Autumn 2021
UPDATE: Following the governments decision to delay the ending of COVID restrictions, this does mean that there will be a delay on when AWS 62 can be held. Initially the plan was to host the event on the 31st of July but with the ending of restrictions delayed until the 19th, it would not work out I...

Re: AWS 62 - Summer/Autumn 2021
The proposed date is July 31st, the venue should be Gloucestershire area. All however is subject to change.
There are no plans to run two arenas, I’m not quite comfortable with taking this on board.

Re: AWS 62 - Summer/Autumn 2021
Do you plan to run a wooden spoon competition at this AWS? We run them at MKBFC events as a set of qualifying rumbles which each have their top 2 robots go into one final rumble for the spoon, so 4 or 5 fights in total. As long as you have a way of keeping track of who exits the tournament with 0 w...
