Micron R/C Sale

I received an email this morning saying that Micron R/C is closing down and have a big sale on while stocks last. Whole bunch of stuff on offer, receivers, motors etc. Might be worth a look.

Re: Where can I get parts/materials from?

This might be of interest to anyone reading this thread... A couple of months ago I added this page to the Wiki, its more up to date than a lot of the links above.

Re: forum signatures

Also, if you don't want to see people's signatures at all then you can turn them off. Go to User Control Panel > Board preferences > Edit display options and then set "Display signatures" to "no" (and then don't forget to click Submit!)

If you had the SQL tables: robots , aws and fights you could use the following structure to keep details on robots, and an archive of their past AWS performances and how they did in the most recent AWS as well. robots - name, weight, length, width, height speed, websiteurl, etc etc aws - number, loc...

Close Shave is currently ranked number 4 according to that... but I don't think it has even competed since around AWS 3 or 4 :P

I tried to do something similar a long while back on the FRA forum (way before Roaming Robots set theirs up). It proved extremely difficult to get anyone to add their robots details to such a system, and then keeping it up to date is a job in itself. I decided not to bother when it became clear it w...

Haha! The original version of the AntWiki did use Wikipedia's MediaWiki actually, however it totally messed up when we moved servers. DokuWiki (now I've got it sorted properly!) is much better in this regard as it stores the pages in text files... and as we are currently planning another server move...

Hi everyone, I have just uploaded a big update to the Antweight Wiki, which will hopefully make it better to look at and easier to use. I've also installed some analytics software so visitor numbers can be tracked and monitored to find out which pages are the most popular and which ones perhaps need...

If you tried it today it wouldn't because our server has been down all day. :P

It should be back up for the rest of this evening, but will be down during the day again tomorrow due to necessary maintenance.

I probably should have clarified... no Bobblebot hasn't entered any formal competitions (it has had many test fights) and I would be amazed if anything ran in a competing Antweight for that amount of time. I'm well aware that the relatively gentle life it has enjoyed is not the same as full on comba...

SD200s have been running in Bobblebot for the last 7 years, no problems with reliability here.

I had a small collection a few years ago (I think its still under my bed actually). I was never that impressed with the quality of it... everything felt very cheap even when you you were spending small fortune on it. I gave it up pretty quickly!
