Re: AWS 49

I'm afraid I might need to pull out of running an event in March. I might be relocating to Birmingham and have approached by the Tate Liverpool to run an event during weekends in March so will be bogged down by that :(

Might try to run WS in Birmingham if I do move there though.

Re: AWS 49

There's a few multi story car parks on the same road so you should be able to park close to the Makerspace. Getting the arena to the 4th floor shouldn't be too difficult either as there's a pair of large lifts in the building.

Re: AWS 49

I can only come to one of antfreeze or the next AWS and if it's in Liverpool my mum would say antfreeze because it would be too far to Liverpool so I have very few days to decide, how likely is it to be in Liverpool??? Not quite sure it'll be in Liverpool yet, depends on how many people can make it...

Re: AWS 49

It's the reason I'm not at many events, bit of a pain for me to get down South. Would be nice to see more AWS events in midlands or up North.

Re: AWS 49

There's a few rooms. One easily big enough for the arena and then 2 rooms in the workshops with a pile of desks where people could set up their bots. I'll get a rough estimate of size Thursday when I'm next there. Best of all they said if it's a not for profit event, we can the space for free. Here'...

Re: 3D printers

If you want a cheap but effective one, check out the Wanhao Duplicator i3. Pre-built, metal framed Prusa i3 for under £300. There's a big community of users who mod them so you can get some surprisingly high quality prints with a bit off tweaking. http://www.technologyoutlet.co.uk/products/3d-printe...

Re: AWS 49

Got talking to the guys at the makerspace in Liverpool and have offered us the workshop as a venue. I'll happily help run it if there's interest.
