Re: Rule 3c - Arena Drop-off

I agree with the last few posts, somewhere between 25% and 50% drop off is good in my opinion. Mostly the same reasons, to encourage variety, and to make the fights more interesting. I also feel that the "lowest front" feature is getting repetitive, so I am happy to modify the rules of the arena for...

Re: Ant Freeze 2014 - Nuneaton, January 18th

Hello

Just wondering if you managed to fix the problem you were having with the footage of the full combat or not as I am trying to decide whether to use my Mums footage or not as we didn't always have the best view. :). The warmup video is great though :)

Re: Ant Freeze 2014 - Nuneaton, January 18th

That sounds like a great idea! It would be up for that.

On a side note: Does anyone know if and when the videos will be uploaded to youtube? It's just that my camera died near the end of the main comp and my mum said she might of missed the start of my first fight with QwejiboOM.

Thanks

Dan

Re: Ant Weight Open - Basingstoke 23rd Nov 2013

Thanks for putting the event on Vicki, Dan and Co, good fun and a bit more laid back than the usual AWS; good to see raceway again :) Well done to all the winners, especially the slightly jammy Dan and EPQ (goes away for ages, wins 2 competitions on his return!). I look forward to the next Antweigh...

Re: Ant Weight Open - Basingstoke 23rd Nov 2013

Hello, this event is good for me, as it is quite close and I have now signed up with my one remaining robot, under a new name. It will be good to be back and see you guys again, and hopefully see some new faces as well :D

Re: Ant Freeze 2014 - Nuneaton, January 18th

Thanks guys, I doubt you will see an updated version of anything I have previously made, but the new robots may have some similar features to my other robots, not sure yet, still designing them.

Re: Ant Freeze 2014 - Nuneaton, January 18th

Hello Everyone I don't know if any of you remember me , but I used to build Antweights a couple of years ago. Having stopped for my GCSE's and my AS levels, I am now returning. As one of my A levels, I am doing an EPQ on the topic of robotics. I would very much like to get back into Antweights again...
